Campus Shuttle Services

North Campus Shuttles (The Red, Green, Yellow Lines, and Ellicott Express)
North Campus shuttle services are accessible to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Vehicles and persons utilizing guest, range, vendor, clinic, and special event parking permits are viewed as visitors to the campus and can park in areas where the permit is valid and make use of the shuttle services to facilitate reaching their destination. The University at Buffalo's North Campus Shuttle Services serve to facilitate travel on the North Campus. The service also provides a valuable park and ride option from the Center for Tomorrow, Alumni, and Stadium parking lots. There are always spaces available in the Center for Tomorrow (CFT) parking lot. The CFT lot contains parking spaces for almost 400 vehicles. We strongly encourage use of this parking lot and the connecting shuttle service. Likewise, the Stadium parking lot contains 225 parking spaces and spaces are most often available. Service on the North Campus is provided through 3 shuttle lines during the Fall and Spring semesters: the Red, Green, and Yellow Lines, with each serving a different area of the campus.

South Campus Shuttles (The Orange Line, with connecting service to the Blue Line)
The University at Buffalo's South Campus Shuttle is accessible to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Vehicles and persons utilizing guest, range, vendor, clinic, and special event parking permits are viewed as visitors to the campus and can park in areas where the permit is valid and make use of the shuttle service to facilitate reaching their destination. The South Campus Shuttle provides transportation from outlying parking areas and buildings, and serves to facilitate travel from one end of the campus to the other. The shuttle also provides a convenient link to the inter-campus bus stops at Main Circle and Goodyear Hall.

  10. If you are standing while the bus is in motion, be sure to remain behind the white safety line. Use handrails to help maintaining balance.
  11. Never run back to the bus even if you dropped or forgot something. The driver may have difficulty seeing you.
  12. Cross the street behind the bus. This helps you see and be seen by other motorists.
  13. If you have to cross the street in front of the bus, walk at least ten feet ahead of the bus until you can turn around and see the driver. Make sure that the driver can see you. Carefully walk across the road, keeping an eye out for other vehicles.
Due to weather or traffic conditions, buses may run a few minutes early or late. It is recommended that all passengers arrive at designated bus stops in advance of scheduled times.
